For optometrists

Google review management for optometry offices

A long consultation, a fitting, sometimes a delivery two weeks later. The review often arrives after the delivery, and it covers the wait as much as the consultation.

Revydo detects every new review on your Google listing, classifies the risk, and drafts a reply that distinguishes the consultation from the fitting and the delivery. Reviews on the wait are flagged so the team can address them without reopening the public conversation.

What this silo recognises

Consultation / fitting / delivery split

The Safety Agent identifies the phase of the visit the patient is referring to. The reply can thus distinguish the practitioner from the retail team, without confusion.

Wait-time reviews are recognised

Reviews that mention the in-store wait, delivery delay, or availability of a model are flagged. The reply routes the patient back to the usual contact channel.

Practice voice, not chain voice

For practices that belong to a chain, the Voice Agent is trained on the practice's own replies, not the chain's.

Multi-brand, one inbox

For practices that carry multiple brands (e.g. optician and hearing-aid), Revydo segments the inbox by listing and by channel.

How Revydo handles an optometry review

Detection, optometry-specific risk classification, draft in the practice's voice, approval by the team.

  1. 1

    Detection on the practice's listing

The Watcher reads the practice's Google listing, detects new reviews, and stores the author, star rating, language, text, and date.

  2. 2

    Optometry risk classification

The Safety Agent identifies the signals specific to optometry: delivery delay, frame adjustment, wait feedback, named optician.

  3. 3

    Draft in the practice's voice

The Voice Agent drafts a reply that distinguishes the consultation, the fitting, and the delivery. Tone is taken from the practice, not the chain.

  4. 4

    Approval by the team

The team approves, edits, or escalates. Wait-time reviews are routed to the workshop manager.

Why now

Framework current as of September 2026.

Three bodies of law govern how you reply to an online review.

Revydo does not reinvent the framework. It absorbs it into every agent, so compliance does not depend on a forgetful assistant.

Legal framework

Consumer right to publish an online review

An online review is protected speech, not a marketing artefact. Hosting platforms and the reviewed professional both have obligations to the publisher, including the right of reply and the limits on removal.

EU Directive 2000/31/EC and national transpositions

Personal data

GDPR in force since May 2018

Every review contains personal data. The act of drafting a reply, storing it, or displaying it alongside the review is processing under GDPR. A careless reply is a separate data event, not a footnote.

Regulation (EU) 2016/679

Professional ethics

Codes of professional conduct

Where the practice is regulated (medicine, law, dentistry, physiotherapy, etc.), the professional code of ethics stays enforceable inside the reply. A draft that confirms a client relationship or reveals a covered fact is a disciplinary risk, not a marketing choice.

National codes of professional conduct

Frequently asked questions

Do I need one listing per optician?

Revydo works with one master listing per site. If the practice has several opticians, their reviews stay on the same listing, and the draft can be personalised to the named practitioner.

How does Revydo distinguish optics from hearing-aid?

For practices that carry both brands, Revydo segments the inbox by listing. Each listing has its own voice and its own drafts.

How do I handle a review about delivery delays?

The review is flagged, and the draft invites the patient to get back in touch through the usual channel (phone, email) without reopening the public conversation on the review.

What if a review names an optician?

The review is marked. The draft is written in the practice's voice, but annotated so the named optician can review before publication.
